The Mission of the Rotary and Toastmasters Alliance

By Lindsey L Williams Jr, Distinguished Toastmaster
President, Rotary Club of Owasso | Immediate Past President & VP of Public Relations, Keystone Toastmasters

To support members in reaching their personal and professional goals, Rotary International has partnered with Toastmasters International to open new doors for growth in communication, leadership, networking, and community impact.

What sets this alliance apart from Rotary’s other partnerships is its focus on empowering individuals. Together, we offer meaningful opportunities for professional development, helping members strengthen their voices and build connections that extend far beyond their local clubs.

At the heart of this collaboration is a shared mission: to equip Rotarians with the confidence and skills to speak with clarity, lead with purpose, and inspire change. Through engaging Toastmasters club meetings, we help Rotarians craft and share their message so they can advocate for their causes, connect with their communities, and lead with greater impact.

Rotary Benefits

The ability to speak confidently in front of others is a powerful skill.  A skill that can be learned and mastered. Whether you're presenting in the workplace, speaking at your Rotary club, or sharing ideas at home, strong communication opens doors and strengthens relationships.

When we share our stories, we not only connect on a deeper level but also inspire those around us and help build a stronger, more united community.

By intentionally developing our communication and leadership skills, we ignite personal growth and create lasting change. As we grow individually, we become better equipped to lead, serve, and make a greater impact both in our clubs and in the communities we care about.
